21st Century Insurance -- formerly 20th Century Insurance -- was founded in 1958 by Louis W. Foster and began offering auto insurance, mainly in California. The company was located in a one-room office in Los Angeles, California in the beginning and relocated to Woodland Hills, California before moving to Wilmington Delaware, where 21st Century Insurance is now headquartered.
