The company was located in a one-room office in Los Angeles, California and relocated to Woodland Hills, California before moving to Wilmington Delaware, where 21st Century Insurance is now headquartered. Today, 21st Century Insurance sells many lines of insurance, including specialty homeowners insurance, motorcycle insurance and more.

Utica Mutual Compensation Company was founded in 1914 as a workers compensation insurance carrier. The company quickly expanded its business by offering more coverage options and quickly becoming one of the New York State’s most successful and respectful mutual insurance organizations. Utica adopted the independent agent system in 1928 in order to sell auto insurance in areas not easily accessed by the office located in New York. Even during the Great Depression and World War II, the company kept growing and expanding. By the end of 1940’s, Utica’s assets had more than doubled. Today, Utica National Insurance Group is an award-winning, nationally recognized organization which provides a variety of personal and commercial insurance products, through more than 2,200 independent agents across the country. The company has seven regional offices located in Virginia, Ohio, two in New York, Massachusetts, Texas and Georgia.
