Country vs. Westfield: What You Need to Know

Country Financial is a group of US insurance and financial services companies available in 19 states in the U.S. Their history began in 1925, when a group of Agricultural Association members from Illinois formed a company, Country Mutual Insurance, selling fire and lightning insurance. In the following four years, new products were included in their portfolios, such as crop hail and farm insurance, auto, and life insurance. By 1953, Country Preferred Insurance Company was incorporated and in 1965 another company, Country Capital Management, was formed as a registered broker-dealer, allowing them to offer securities products, mutual funds, variable annuities, variable life insurance, and 529 College Savings Plans.
