From 1907 to 2005, the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower was the company’s headquarters in Lower Manhattan. It was the world’s tallest building until 1913. This famous building emanated light for years with the slogan, “The light that never fails,” and it was often featured in MetLife advertisements.
