In Oklahoma, HCSC was the first to create a mobile health screening unit and free screenings for vision, hearing, glaucoma, blood and blood pressure.

Humana is a leading managed health care company founded by David A. Jones Sr in 1961 as a nursing home company called Extendicare. In 1972 Extendicare divested the nursing home business and moved into the hospital business. They changed the name to Humana in 1974.
