In 1900, a cyclone caused destruction throughout New Richmond, Wisconsin. Homes and businesses were destroyed and more than 100 were killed, 500 injured. A 135-member chapter in the Cicero Township developed The Farmers Home Mutual Hail, Tornado and Cyclone Insurance Company of Seymour, Wisconsin. In 1986, they renamed the company as SECURA.
