Our Thoughts on Allstate Roadside Assistance

Allstate roadside coverage is available in all 50 states with flexible plans based on your coverage needs and budget. Costing less than $3 per month, existing Allstate customers save the most by purchasing roadside coverage as an add-on to their policy. This small increase offers coverage for towing, tire changes, jump-starts and more.

What we especially enjoyed about Allstate roadside coverage is that plans are also available to drivers without an existing Allstate auto policy. If you're insured through another provider, you can still purchase Allstate roadside assistance with plans ranging from $7 to $12 for the first year.

With all your basic roadside services — from towing and tire changes to fuel delivers — offered in an affordable package that is available nationwide, we consider Allstate a strong choice for roadside coverage.

Roadside Assistance FAQs

How much extra is roadside assistance with Allstate?

Current Allstate customers can add a Towing and Labor Roadside Help their car insurance for $1-$2.08/month ($12-25 annually). For more coverage, you can buy Allstate's Roadside Advantage plan for $79, or its Roadside Elite program for $149. Afterward, Allstate gradually increases the plan's full prices of $99 and $169. You can also get roadside assistance when you need it on a pay-per-use basis for $79 -$119 per service.

Can I use my roadside assistance for someone else?

No, you can't. Allstate's roadside assistance endorsement plans follow the vehicle, not the person. According to the Allstate mobile app, you can add a second person to your Roadside Assistance Advantage or Elite for free during the first year. Afterward, you must pay $25 ($2/ month) to add additional people to your plan. Allstate automatically provides free roadside assistance coverage to 16-18-year-old students under its Roadside Assistance Advantage or Elite membership plans.

Do I have Allstate roadside assistance?

You can confirm if you have roadside coverage by reviewing your coverages through your online account or the Allstate mobile app. If you want to add roadside assistance coverage, you can edit your coverages online or contact an Allstate agent.

How often can I use my Allstate roadside assistance?

Allstate limits the number of roadside assistance claims you can make within a certain period. These claim limits vary by coverage and state. Roadside Advantage members can receive up to 3-4 service calls per year, and Platinum Elite members can make up to five. Of course, excessive claims can lead to higher premiums down the road.

How do I get reimbursed for towing with Allstate?

Policyholders are encouraged to use Allstate's mobile app, but they can call (844) 839-3138 and follow the prompts for Allstate reimbursements on eligible roadside service-related expenses. You'll need to keep copies of supporting documentation, including bills, receipts and invoices, when submitting your reimbursement claim.
