With the endorsement, you'll receive three to six service calls depending on your location.^[3] A term cap of six service calls is relatively high when compared to other providers who place the limit at three to four.

How Does Esurance Roadside Assistance Work?

If you need Esurance roadside assistance towing or some other service like fuel delivery or a battery jumpstart if your car ran out of gas or has a dead battery, you can contact Esurance to receive 24/7 support.^[2]

You are covered for up to $75 in service costs per service call.^[3] For example, if it costs $75 to tow you 10 miles but you need to be towed 15 miles, you’ll have to pay the additional costs for the five-mile difference. Similarly, if the cheapest locksmith is charging $100 to service your vehicle, Esurance would cover $75 and you would pay the remaining $25.

How Often Can I Use Esurance Roadside Assistance?

Esurance customers can call for roadside assistance three to six times per year — the covered number will vary by policy. Alternatively, in some states, you may instead be allotted a total of $450 in coverage across the entire term.^[3]

Can I Use My Esurance Roadside Assistance for Someone Else?

Esurance roadside assistance is only available for vehicles listed on your policy. These plans follow the automobile, not the driver.^[2]

What Isn’t Included With Esurance Roadside Assistance?

In addition, you are not covered for the cost of supplies, meaning that Esurance will cover the cost to deliver fuel or change a tire but you must pay for the fuel or supply the spare tire.

When calling this number, make sure you have your policy number handy.

If you’ve already paid for services and want to get reimbursed, contact an Esurance agent at 1-800-378-7262 to get instructions. Typically, you will need to submit documentation, which usually includes receipts, your policy information and the service provider’s details.

How Do I Add Esurance Roadside Assistance to My Existing Policy?

Esurance makes it easy for customers to add roadside assistance. You can add this coverage by calling 1-800-378-7262 from 6 am to 12 am (CST). You can also buy roadside assistance by logging into your online account or through Esurance's mobile app. After signing up, your roadside assistance coverage may not be available immediately.
